Locomotive driver services for hire in Norway

Rytec AS has provided train driver services since 2014. Our drivers have experience with scheduled A-B freight operations, goods terminal shunting, driving specialist railway maintenance machinery, and driving test vehicles as part of their national approval processes.

Our drivers trainers were all previous drivers trainers for NSB (former Norwegian National Railway Operator). Therefore, they have decades of local experience training new and existing drivers on nearly all types of passenger, freight and shunting vehicles in Norway.

Our drivers trainers can develop and lead theoretical and practical training courses for essentially any existing or new vehicle, including development of course material, manuals and tests.

We should also note that our training courses are not only limited to Norway. We have also provided drivers training course for some of our Swedish clients.

Services include: 

• Driving of test trains for new signaling system (ERTMS).
• Testing of "new" ATC systems on locomotives.
• Other driving assignments such as drilling trains, gravel trains and other transports.

Rytec AS can also deliver competence development/instruction:

• Develop training plans for locomotive drivers (additional training).
• Develop training program (traffic safety and vehicle course).
• Instruction in vehicle course.
• Third-party assessment of supplementary education for driving in Norway.
